How Can You Allow Members to Be Able To Edit Their Own Comment in The Discussion Forum?

I just noticed that there is no Edit option in the Discussion Forum for Members so that they can edit their own comments. Every Forum allows members to edit their own comment. How do I enable this?

They have 15 min to edit their discussions. Trust me, you don't want them to have much longer than that...

How can they edit it, when there is no edit option? Also, what if they want to go back and edit their comment? I have never seen a Forum without the ability to edit your own comment? If I make every member a Forum Moderator will that give them the ability? The only thing is will they also have the ability to edit other's comments. Why aren't things simple with an option to elect to give them this ability or not?

Are you saying that every single member is missing the "edit" option, because we CAN edit our own comments within that 15 minute window.

Try posting as a standard member and not from your Admin account. You should see the edit button there.

Thanks to everyone for your feedback. Tyler you hit it on the nose. I was logged in as an Administrator and that is why I was not seeing the edit icon for members. I logged out and then in as a member and viola the edit icon was there. I don't understand why 15 min, but that is ok. I also found I needed to enable the administrators to have the authority to edit and now can see the edit icon on all the members comments as well as my own. Thanks so much for helping me understand how this works.
