Hi, I am running a Korean language based Ning community.

The date and time formats in Korean are a bit different from those of English.

For instance, "December 25, 2010" would look like "2010년 12월 25일".
And for time, "5:26 PM" would be "오후 5시 26분".
(I hope the characters are displaying correctly on your monitor. But if not, I hope at least you get the point.)

How would I achieve this?

I was able to get the "months" and "am, pm" to translate in the language editor but that really only changes the texts, not the formatting.

for the rest, I can't figure out how to edit.

Pleeease point me to the right direction.

Thanks.

Hi BayMommy,

I have the same problem only in danish and somewhat simpler:

For instance, "December 25, 2010" would look like "25. December 2010".

And time format should be 24 hour notation and no use of AM / PM ("5:26 PM" would be "17:26").

This must be an issue for a lot of non-english languages, so I am surprised there is no easy set-up for this?!

Thanks for any help

Nis

I'm having the same problem in Spanish. Given the number of Spanish-speaking creators I thought I'd find something with a search but nothing.

Did you have any luck?

Just found your other discussion Nis, thanks again. For anyone else looking, this discussion has the solution.
