Permalink Reply by Chris on May 6, 2011 at 3:32pm Oh man, that is a tough one (at least for me). I don't do facebook, but I am not sure if you can have that set up to work automatically. You could however, probaby get it to work the way you want it to, by having the feed kept "off", and when you want to add an individual post of your choice, you simply turn the feed "on". Naturally, you would have to turn the feed back to "off' after you got the post you wanted onto facebook.
Another way would be too have the feed kept "on" and just delete the ones you want from facebook, but that would seem too time consuming for me.
Let's hope that someone who knows more about these things chimes in and proves me wrong. If it can be set up to do that automatically it would be the best case scenerio for what you want.
Oops, forgot to tell you how to turn the feed off.
#1. Go to your "My Network
#2. Under Members, click on Control
#3. Near the bottom of that page you will see "Sharing and Communications Permission.
#4. Uncheck allow members to share content via facebook.
Hope this helps.

Permalink Reply by Kos on December 2, 2012 at 5:44pm You're not alone. The FB and Twitter boxes are constantly *checked* on my home page now for some reason and the pop up to allow Facebook is extremely annoying. Previously the boxes were unchecked. idk what I did but I can't get it to stop. Augh!
btw it has nothing to do with Ning Labs; at least not on my network.
Permalink Reply by Allison Leahy on December 10, 2012 at 8:25pm Hi Kos, You can uncheck the boxes and the network will remember your preferences. The next time you sign in, the boxes will be unchecked. Same is true if you check the boxes--they will remain checked until the auto-share feature is 'turned off' again.
Permalink Reply by Kos on December 11, 2012 at 8:27am Sorry but there is a glitch there and I've been working with Help Desk. Being an Administrator I am on constantly and it seems that if one checks the box and posts from the Activity Feed......then un-checks it and navigates to another page then returns, it doesn't remember that you unchecked it. They are are of the problem It *should* remember

I've gone ahead and passed your feedback along to our product team for possible consideration in the future. "
*sigh* Looks like the glitch will remain until they decide to make the box actually work the way it should. smh
