How do you use the invitation link manually?

My Ning site is by invitation only. I want to create business cards with a copy of the invitation link on them; however, when one types the invitation link manually into the browser, it states that the invitation has expired. The link only works if someone clicks on it. Does anyone know how to make the link work for those who need to type it into the browser?

I was very curious about this as well. So I tried it and it worked. I made sure to sign out first because I didn't want the kind of conflict that happens when a time traveler meets himself in the past.

You should know that if it is indeed the case that it expired that there is a button right next to the link that allows you to regenerate a new link.

Another possible cool trick might be to use a URL shortener with a customized name (possibly the name of your network) making it easy for your prospective members to remember if they lose the card.

Thanks for replying to this Garfield. I tried logging out and typing in the invitation link in the browser exactly as it is and it still tells me the invitation is expired. The invitation is definitely not expired because if you click on it it works just fine. Any other suggestions?
