How does the migration work?

I've been looking around to see if there are good alternatives to NING. I found a good one in Buddypress and i plan to migrate over there.

 

However, i am wondering, HOW does the migration work?

 

Will all my content be moved to my new Buddypress community?

 

Then i mean all my forumtopics, forumcategries, groups, blogs, videos, events, tweets, statusupdates, pages and members and so on and so on, be moved to my Buddypress site or does this only involve members?

 

I am glad this happend by the way, because i see this as a new start, away from NING. Had some ood times here, but now's the time to go professional with a selfhosted system without nings hot breath in my neck to check what i am doing.

 

Please, help me out for the LAST time and then i will be gone here.

I have a wonderful host right here in Holland wich offers me 25 gigabytes for only 5 Euros a month with UNLIMITED bandwidth and had Wordpress and Buddypress installation.

I have taken a good look at Buddypress and it looks really awesome, much, much better then a NING network and very professional.

Ofcourse i will miss some functionalities NING offers us, but i think, with these changes right here at NING Buddypress will evolve also.

I just don't know if a Buddypress community also offers member profile styling. That's a thing i am going to miss for my members. But ok, it will never be perfect!

I read that Wordpress and Buddypress are offering a migrationtool also, wich imports all ning memberships and profilefilelds automatically, just don't know if this also counts for all my other contets.
