Traffic is a big resource but keyword(s), competition, look, kind of public (a site about sale of diamonds will be more valuated than a site about dog food), pagerank and the list can go for long...

Permalink Reply by Pat Howlett on July 14, 2012 at 6:43am Since most people do not go to a Social Network to engage Ads my suggestion would be for you to find an "Affiliate Offer" that would be of interest to your demographic and post that as an Ad - this way you'll be able to see both ends of the pipeline and be able to determine if Ads will benefit an Advertiser.
You could also use Adsense for this test.
Once you have some "sales data" besides "traffic data" you'll be able to provide a potential advertiser with more actionable information. If during your tests you don't see any ROI than the chances are good that neither would an Advertiser.
Bottom-line - do some inhouse testing that proves to an Advertiser they might achieve success and then offer up those "success results" along with your traffic - because results sell (everyone is looking for results) and potential is not sustainable.
You might also be able to determine via your own inhouse testing exactly who should advertise and then target that product or service provider. Hope this helps.

add komoona
set up a cpm ad block with adsense as a callback set the cpm minumum bid at 40% higher then what the adsense is pulling in
you then also have the sell adspace option you see what your adsence plus cpm income is on a daily weekly monthly basis set the ad sales price just a bit higher then the highest youve made so say your daily is a max of 5 dollars set the buy in price at 6
that way its win win your cpm ads pay higher then the adsence and your fully paid ads pay higher then the combo of the 2
