A lof of people ask us about the "slider" on Creators at the top of our Main Page. They love it. We do, too!
A slider (sometimes also called a "carousel"or "hero" box) automatically rotates in and out promotional content. It's a very effective way to spotlight specific things on your network that you want returning members (and visitors) to notice and visit. You could also use a slider like this to run your own ads, particularly if you have lined up sponsors or advertisers directly and can create an ad for them. It looks like this:
I know that a number of Network Creators are going to flip over this new slider we've created. It's free for the taking, so check out this article on Adding a Slider to see if it's something you'd like to put on your network.
You will need to be able to upload the images you want to display, and you can do that with the File Manager (among other ways). You will also need to be able to look at some HTML, but these instructions are straightforward and should be doable for most Network Creators. If you're unsure about how to do it, you might want to try it out first on your test network and then paste the final code into a Text Box on your live network.
Enjoy!

- I CHANGED THE NUMBER OF SLIDES TO 6 IN THE CODE, BUT ITS STILL ONLY SHOWING THe First 3.
- THE BAR WITH THE HEADLINE AND LINK IS NOT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SLIDER LIKE IN THE EXAMPLE
Other Than That It Looks GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREAT!
Ceddy J,
Please give me a link so I can take a look.
James
Hi Ceddy J,
If you want to change position of overlay change the number highlighted (image 1) in your code. 0 will put it at the bottom anything up to 20 looks good too- your choice.
In image 2, I highlighted the number of slides-did you change this? If so then most likely there is an error in the code for your image number 3. It seems that it is breaking the code and it goes back to start over. Double and triple check that there is not a missing letter, symbol, space etc. as compared to the original code. If you want you can upload as a file the code you placed in your text box and I'll take a look, too, if you're not able to find it.

James when you get a second please go by my site, I think my issue is the size of the picture, but I have tried it every which way - www.floridacoolcars.com

Took a look at your site. Like the way you've put it together.
Here is a couple of tweaks to do to get rid of the black bar at the bottom of the slider and to center it so you don't show a sliver of the next slide on the right.
Change height and margin as highlighted in first image and it will look like the second.
Good luck with your network and I'm going to look at the arrows next-'fraid that will be a tougher nut,
James
