Dear Genius Computer Gurus

I'm sure somewhere in the help section it shows how to coordinate all the menu titles within the network.

I would like to change the menu BLOG into menu ARTICLE

I changed the TAB settings but what about everything else that needs to match?

Please see Top Menu Changed to ARTICLES

Now it says ALL BLOG POSTS, MY BLOG, EDIT BLOG POSTS

This does not match

Then to do a search is says ALL BLOG POSTS

Help please

What happens to the URL's from the past 3 years that all went under the domain of BLOG?

Do they always remain the same? Do future posts then turn into ARTICLES in the URL location?

Go to My Network>Settings>Tabs and pages and change the tab name.

Hi Bernard. I changed the tab name from BLOGS to ARTICLES

But what about everything associated with this menu item name change?

Hey, Debby. You'll need to find and replace all of the instances of "blog" with "article" in the Language Editor

Thanks Eric. I'll consider doing this now. Besides the fact that it is possible, maybe others would like to chime in on the idea itself?

Does it makes sense to change the Tab Title from Blogs to Articles to indicate that people are expected to write more official, possibly lengthy, newsworthy and educational 'articles' in place of personal blogs? Does one cover more ground than the other?

What are the implications for changing the title after all these years?

Totally makes sense to me. I am thinking about changing the way our old blog function works on Creators and making it the way people submit "Tips". We don't need personal blogs on Creators, but we sure do always need tips. You should makes sure you try to coach members on using the Articles feature that way. Let them know and hopefully find a way to encourage them to create articles.

you can change any function name to anything you like in the language editor, blogs to magazine or events to hookups

up to you, of course it makes sense and everybody does that
