I would like to use the small comment bubbles in front page blog posts without the network like icon, anyone done this?
I tried, but my users won't use the network like, so I disabled it. When the network like is disabled, it also changes the layot of the blog posts shown in front page (pictures below), so that the comment bubble is gone too and the amount of comments is shown poorly.
With network like disabled blog post in front page looks like this:
With network like enabled:
Tags: comments, network like

If you turned on Network Like and then hid the Network Like icons, that could get the desired layout you're looking for.
This would be some code you could add to your Custom Code area that should hide the Network Like:
.reactions a.like-link {
display: none;
outline: medium none;
position: relative;
text-decoration: none !important;
}
