Remove entire masthead, even space.
.xg_theme.xg_widget_profiles #xg_masthead {display:none!important;}
Hide Logo, leave space in area:
.xg_theme.xg_widget_profiles #application_name_header_link {visibility:hidden!important;}

Do you still need help ?
Jen's code(tank you Jen) is good but first of all you have to remove spaces between the different classes and ids. For me worked with these lignes:
- Remove entire masthead, even space: #xg_masthead {display:none !important;}
- Hide Logo, leave space in area: #application_name_header_link {visibility:hidden !important;}
