How to Hide the Middle Column in a Specific Group

Hey! 

I read a post here with Sweet Potato's code

This works to hide:

Members, Pages, but unfortunately also the 'Options' for the group. That button disappeared as well. I could not see pending members, change any group info etc. 

Ideal- Perfect Scenario is:

Hide Members of the group, Hide the Pages (as they are confusing the members, I have them organized in the text box instead)

A HUGE bonus would be to be able to of course Utilize that new space as well! Making the 1st Column carry ovah a bit.

what you need is a way to move all that stuff over to the right or hide it...... i only know one script that moves stuff around in this way this is a start and in theory could be adapted see  HERE

Hey Thanks Ascot! That seems to be for Member Profile Pages only. Not inside a specific group. But still might use it for it offers later!

Erik that would be awesome! I have re-added my script above from Sweet Potato and it actually lef the option box this time. Looks like the pic. But I still wish I could Actually USE the space left behind in the middle column. Would love the left column to fill over into it now. BAM, that would crank.

Try the attached code to your custom code box. It includes retaining the option box and spanning the empty space.

Ok, here's the guide for a specific group to work.

Since you have a textbox on each group home page, add this single code on groups textbox you need the code to apply to:

<span class="group-nomid">&nbsp;</span>

Don't forget to switch to HTML view to insert it correctly. Then update the Javascript code I have posted previously with the one attached.

sry to jump in ...tried this on a 2 col layout and the option box is not there.

is it something to do with the wider right column.?
