My bank has been charged by ning even tho I am no longer paying for my network and there is aboslutely nobody that I can contact. I feel I am being moved from forum to forum and this is not a good state of affairs or professional of ning.
WHO CAN I CONTACT?

I went into my account plans and billing and its impossible to remove the old bank card details they had from me. My bank tells me I have to cancel everything completely with Ning but there is no way to do this??????
Looks like it will take weeks to get my money back then... if I ever do!

Permalink Reply by Karen Maskall on March 19, 2011 at 12:26pm Eric I havent heard anything from Ning so my bank has offered to write to them to try and resolve this issue.
It's not ethical the way any company can take money out of someones account like this. The total they took out of my account was just over £126 as I mentioned above six payments on one day. Also the amount of these individual payments doesn't even relate to any of the plans, ( which I never signed up for anyway).
As far as I'm concerned my last real payment to NING for my network was made on 24th May 2010 of £23.65
As I decided not to upgrade to a plan so started to work elswhere with my domain going active on July 25th 2010 ( you can see my first post here http://pledgingforchange.com/updates/we-have-moved.php)
As per your own blog networks needed to upgrade to new plans or be closed down.
So why was I charged £21.02 ( which doesn't even relate to any plan) and this amount taken out of my bank account all on the same day? The date for these 6 seperate transactions was 9th Feb 2011.
I am a believer in ethical business and ethical practices. I feel what NING did was wrong and unethical and worse still I can't really believe that they won't put amends to these things.
I used to love NING and never said a wrong word about them but honestly feel being treated this way is not good at all.
Just a reminder about the way we saw the plans and upgrading. I did not choose any plan so my content and ownership of ning network ceased.
Our new pricing plans are now in effect. To continue using your ning network and retain your content please select one of our plans by Aug 20th.
Permalink Reply by Eric Suesz on March 19, 2011 at 2:12pm It appears that Blake has been working with you and that he provided a refund to you for some services. Are you saying you didn't receive his last message to you on February 23rd?
Do you currently have a Ning Network at this point in time?
Permalink Reply by Karen Maskall on March 27, 2011 at 7:59am I found the email which I had responded to about the multiple payments.
My issue is once the network was changed to ethicalaffiliate.ning.com that was the end of my network completely because no members would ever find it again anyway PLUS I did NOT click to renew my payment plan.
That was the message we kept getting "To continue to use your ning network choose a payment plan by August 20th"
I did NOT choose a plan and could not cancel by bank card with you. NIng stopped taking payments so I presumed that was the end of it until they decided to take (un)relative payments at a later date namely 6 months later .
I just think the whole thing is dreadful and very unethical. Im really struggling with my belief in and NINg as an ethical business anymore. They really should be honouring my repayments by now because it was NING who took Pledging for Change .com off line by removing my domain name anyway.
If I made the mistake of not contacting NING and having them take it off line manually this shouldnt matter now because they automatically removed my domain because I didn't choose a plan to renew.
To continue using your network and retain your content please choose a plan by Aug 20th... I did NOT choose a plan and its not my fault that NING left networks dangling after AUG 20th when owners believed the message received about having networks removed.
Permalink Reply by Karen Maskall on April 13, 2011 at 2:23pm Thankyou Eric for your help and thank you NING for repaying me. Im so glad the issue is now resolved and I can regard NING as an ethical business once again.
