The blog editor is rewriting my paragraphs and line breaks.

Permalink Reply by John on May 9, 2012 at 6:55am As you can see the intended space between lines was thrown out.
I can no longer edit older blog posts because it wrecks the HTML when I save.
Using <br /> between paragraphs seems to combine the previous and following paragraphs.
Permalink Reply by Blake on May 11, 2012 at 11:11am Hey John, could you give this another shot? From what I understand of this issue, your <br /> tags are being stripped. As of about an hour ago, they seemed to be back and working whether you swap to Visual mode or publish the post.

It's still doing it. I pasted this into a new blog post...

Permalink Reply by Blake on May 11, 2012 at 1:32pm That's helpful, thank you. That block of text seems to show an issue between bold and italic text and hyperlinks. My understanding was that <br /> tags were being stripped, but there aren't any in the above block (looks like <p> </p> for line breaks instead).

Permalink Reply by John on May 11, 2012 at 1:51pm That issue with bold and hyperlinks has been there for a long time.
I use the HTML tab to move the <strong> tags within the <a> tags. I'm glad its hit your radar.

Try this CSS, this will ignore/disable <br> tags.
code br{
line-height: 0px;
}

Oic sorry for misunderstanding. Then use the same code but use your preference line-height instead of 0px.
Permalink Reply by Eric Suesz on May 9, 2012 at 8:53am Hey, John. I saw your post yesterday, but I haven't been able to respond until now. I hate to say it, but we might need a ticket to have someone assigned to test things and make sure nothing has changed about the text editor. Evan's post here describes how it should work.

Permalink Reply by John on May 9, 2012 at 12:16pm Hi Eric,
I assure you that the editor has changed; demonstrated above by this forum post.
Do you get a report when things are pushed into production?

Permalink Reply by Eric Suesz on May 9, 2012 at 1:52pm We do get reports. Lots of reports. We have daily stand-up meetings and discuss releases in them every day. I was in one this morning to discuss the many releases happening today. I'm assuming that a change like this would not be something that would be covered in our daily reports or meetings. Bugs that can be predicted aren't really bugs.
Our support team may be more knowledgeable than I am about all of the details of each release. My goal is to answer here on Creators quickly, gather reports from NCs, and relay them back to the support team and engineers. Community reports are usually incomplete and messier than what we can do one-on-one, where we can replicate the error for our engineers.
