Permalink Reply by the_real_macfly on January 16, 2012 at 6:39pm Visibility into IPs would be a definite improvement, as long as the load time and the usability trade-off of the corresponding tool would be less than what getclicky etc. has to offer.
Its a tricky business. There are quite some offers around for reporting IPs, none of them outstanding. An online database tool for visible IP would be nice, from my point of view.

Permalink Reply by Speed Racer on January 12, 2012 at 1:27pm i signed up for cloudflare, and i do like it. however, im always afraid to block the ones from the US, im afraid that it may be labeling a regular member a spammer lol. seems to work great for our standard spammer countries, though...

Permalink Reply by Dave Walkerden on April 12, 2012 at 7:26pm I think about 99% of the spammers I get on my website use yahoo.com email addresses. I'd be happy to get a script/code that detects the phrase yahoo.com and automatically puts them on a 'waiting for approval' list. They NEVER show up on the NING spam watchlist so somethings not working. My spammers go through the signup process and then leave comments on member pages asking the member to contact them for some sort of love scam. It's really irritating because some members think I've sold their email address to spammers because they get a notification sent to their email address.
Permalink Reply by Eric Suesz on November 15, 2012 at 12:50pm I wanted to let you know that we have just released a new tool that allows you to ban IP addresses and block email domains. I know you requested this a long time ago, so you may not be interested in it anymore, but I wanted to let you know that it is now available.
Since this is quite an old discussion, I may simply close it out.
