Permalink Reply by techtter on January 18, 2011 at 9:55am He didn't say that Orkut and Facebook are spammers, he said that if a member needs to invite more than 100, there is a good chance that the member might be a spammer.
You keep saying the same thing over and over again. I don't think that they are going to change the limit. Evidently they have their reason for the limit. It looks like your site has only been up and running for a month or so and you have more than 600 members at this point. I don't think that you should have any complaints about that at all. You are just stressing yourself out over something that you have no control over. Like Marshall said, focus on other things that are more important. Look for different ways of attracting new members. You can put free classified ads online. Just google it and you will see many options for sites that will get you message out.
Another thing that will help you is to clean up the English language errors on your website. I just looked at it for a few seconds and I saw many errors that make your site look unprofessional. If you can't correct the errors yourself, you need to find a native English speaker that can help you with that.
Permalink Reply by True Diogeneia on January 21, 2011 at 5:07pm Your statement makes no sense. Do the math: If you have only 10 members and they invite 100 people every day for a week (7 days).... that is 10 x 100 = 1000/per day. 1000/per day x 7 days = 7000 invites per week. They don't need to friend everyone who joins either.
If you can't grow your network with those numbers, there is something wrong with your strategy.
Personally, I don't care for having those sorts of limits on something I not only pay for but am told I am responsible for. But on the other hand, it is nice to have the limit because it helps to prevent members from spamming people on behalf of your network.
Permalink Reply by Chris Rebibes Delacruz on January 18, 2011 at 10:04am I believe his concern is valid.
There are really some sites wherein the growth is exponential. I believe he is just asking if there is some way that NING would allow more than 100 invites a day.
I'm sure there are ways; it's just not a priority by NING right now.
Perhaps you can ask NING that there are some creators who are willing to pay premium price for the ability to INVITE more than 100 members a day.
The question is, how much are you willing to pay for that? Will NING find it useful and will they able to monetize it?
