I wish the Ning chatbar would load as good as the facebook chatbar.
This is something I've wanted since 2009....
Like the way you can be on facebook and click a link, and the chat stays there while the page loads.....ya know?
Anyone else have this wish?
and while were at it, allow ning members to chat with their facebook friends via the ning chat... that way ning members can stay on the network rather than going away to chat on facebook. <3

Hi ZF,
Facebook does this by loading the content for the page you want to see in the background and then replacing the current page contents with it. We looked at this behavior when we were developing chat, because it's nice, but it would mean a completely different approach than we have now and would have taken a long time. It would also cause problems with dynamically loading elements like ads on networks, so for those reasons we decided against it.
