Updated 8/6/12: IBroadcast channels can now be used in user profiles, blog posts, or added as a Video using the player-only embedding instructions below.
Updated 5/7/12: You no longer have to manually tweak the embed code to get the full player + chat... IBroadcast now generates both widgets for you automatically. See step 3
Dear Creators,
My name is Sam Rahimi, CEO of IBroadcast.TV - the video platform introduced to you earlier this week by Patrick Chapelle (see http://creators.ning.com/forum/topics/introducing-ibroadcast) - if you haven't read this thread, please do, as it contains instructions for setting up your channel on IBroadcast.
Briefly - IBroadcast lets you easily create and share your broadcast with the world. Create a playlist from anything on YouTube or any live stream on Justin.TV - and turn it into a synchronized broadcast just like ordinary TV (minus the commercials.) This allows your visitors to hang out in the chat room and socialize while experiencing the content together - and if you've got a Ning Network, you can now embed any IBroadcast channel along with the chat and social features in a page on your site.
Here's how...
1. Create an IBroadcast channel by going to http://ibroadcast.tv and signing in with Facebook. If you have YouTube videos shared on your timeline, your broadcast will be created automatically from these. To add more videos (pretty much anything on YouTube), create a customized profile for your channel, and rearrange your playlist, go to "Broadcast Studio" once you're logged in. You can use HTML in the channel profile if you wish to add links back to your Ning network or anywhere else.
2. (optional but recommended) - After customizing your profile, like and share the channel on Facebook using the buttons provided on the channel page...
3. Get the embed code by clicking the "Embed" button underneath the video player. Choose from a video player only (560x315; can be resized) and a full sized player with chat and social discovery features (800x900; fixed size.) Check http://anrdjunion.com/ and http://natewalker.com for examples of the player only; http://anrdjunion.com/page/a-r-dj-union-t-v, http://kingdomzx.biz/page/tv, http://hhiaclan.com/page/hhiatv-by-i-broadcast for the full player + chat.
Have fun, good luck, and I'm here to help out and answer any questions...
Cheers,
Sam Rahimi

Though you've signed up with your personal Facebook profile, your iBroadcast channel is on your Facebook page. Facebook doesn't make this apparent with the new interface. You have to click the drop down menu to the right of your modules. From the drop down menu, search and hover your mouse over the mod that reads "TV Room", and you will see a pencil icon, Click it and you can choose which mod you want to switch places with.

This option is only appearing on my personal profile page when I click the drop down box. It is not appearing on my fan page. I have several facebook fan pages for different things, but the TV room is not appearing in any of my fan pages when I click the drop down menu.

Permalink Reply by Patrick Chappelle on May 16, 2012 at 8:50am Try going to your iB channel and see if there's an option to add it to your page on the right.
Permalink Reply by Michael Thompson on May 16, 2012 at 9:05am That was it! The option was on the right side on the iB channel as you suggested. Thanks Patrick!

Permalink Reply by Patrick Chappelle on May 16, 2012 at 9:08am You're welcome Michael. =)
Permalink Reply by Michael Thompson on May 17, 2012 at 10:02am Do we have the ability to speed up the time between the video plays? If it is possible, I would like to reduce that transition period by 3 or 4 seconds as the break seems too be a little too long between videos. If that is not possible, it is no big deal. But, that ability would be welcomed.
Permalink Reply by Pastor Donald C. Garner Jr. on May 20, 2012 at 6:30pm SAM...HELLLPPPP! Been trying to reach you with NO Succes Brother. I know you're busy. You need a Knowledge Base for questions, and problems that people using The Beta are having. I have another quest for you.
I have a personal Profile that has ANOTHER channel on it Artztre.com.TV, BUT I want to ADD ANOTHER Channel Independent of Artztre.com.tv....HOW do I accomplish this task, or is it yet possible, because I see you creating multiple channels, I would like to be able to also create multiple channels on the SAME FB Account name, Or in another name ext. if possible. But I DON'T want to Mix or Merge the sites.!! Thanks, Blessings.
Permalink Reply by Michael Thompson on May 22, 2012 at 12:53pm Something else that would be nice would be the ability for channel creators to be able to delete the comments. I am using the full page widget and since I could not get the code without the chat to expand to fill the page, I am using the code that includes the comments. However, as a channel creator I don't seem to have the ability to delete comments. What if someone leaves spam? Can I not delete it?
Also, the "People Tuned In" appear to be people on ibroadcast, not people watching my channel. When I begin to get viewers, will the ones logged into facebook be seen there?? Meaning just regular viewers who do not have accounts or channels with ibroadcast?
Does anyone know how to get the code without chat to fill a ning page properly? When I try to adjust the code, the video player doesn't seem to get any bigger.

Permalink Reply by Patrick Chappelle on May 22, 2012 at 1:05pm Funny. They added the chat at my request. Don't know if that's possible, but I want to respond to these questions in another comment.

Permalink Reply by Patrick Chappelle on May 22, 2012 at 1:07pm Hey everyone!
I know all of you have questions and concerns about iBroadcast, CEO Sam Rahimi and his team are working on something major right now, and I'm sure they would appreciate a little more patience. It won't be very long before they return to respond to your questions and resolve your issues.
Thanks.
Permalink Reply by Michael Thompson on May 22, 2012 at 3:57pm Hi, Patrick,
I just want to be clear that I am not trying to rush the folks at iBroadcast. I just wanted to voice some ideas early while they are still putting this together. I don't mind if it takes awhile to address these, I just wanted to make sure they were getting the messages.
I am not against chat, I was just unsure what could be done if someone starts posting links to their channel or spam on our chat area and stuff like that. Also, I am concerned that too many folks will be clicking on the icons and be taken to facebook or iBroadcast.
Overall, I think that Sam and the folks at iBroadcast have done an amazing job so far. I am happy with the product and see its possibilities. My comments and any concerns/criticisms should be seen as constructive. Thanks for addressing our comments Patrick.

I wasn't insinuating you were being impatient or anything, I was addressing everyone here, and wanted to assure you all that things will be moving along shortly. I'm looking forward to the improvements to iBroadcast myself, and am eager to see it reach its full potential. =)
