One idea that I have been brainstorming lately is making the advanced search stand out more. Due to me having a social network that is mainly artists and models, the search being on the homepage will bring a more visible way right from the start to find collaborations. Example: A photographer is looking for a model in their area but don't realize that they can find them easier from the advanced search.
What I have put in place for now:
- Advanced Search is listed under the members tab, drawing more attention to it.
- Took an idea from Facebook, in which their search box now says "Search for people, places, and things". Where it say's Search "network name", I'm going to have it say, "Search for members and content". (just did this as I wrote this post).
*To Do The Second Option I Did Go To The Language Editor and Search "Search %s".
Thank You Fellow NCs
