Including blogs, groups and forum discussions in paid feature

Can we grandfather in past blogs, groups and forum discussions to select Pay For This Page, Forum Discussion or Group?

Hi, Debbie. Groups are included as part of Paid Access. We aren't able to provide a way to restrict additional features. It is something we could add in the future, but it would take a lot of development to add it. So, it's possible, but it's not something we currently have planned.

you could just charge for total access, or put material you want money for in groups and pages...just a suggestion! :D

Anything that could be posted into a blog, could also be posted on a page with a pay wall.

Anything that could go into a forum, could go into the forum of a group with a pay wall.

My boo-boo. The illustrations above is a page WITHIN a group, not the main group entry level. Okay. Answered my own question.

 

Actually the illustration below is on an already established group. So, it NING does give availability to create pay feature on the door that enters people into that group. Thanks.

Just out of curiosity. This new paid feature for pages, groups, etc. will require considerably more management on each page as people post information. How will people handle it?

What type of management do you think will increase? Actually, part of the point of this Paid Access feature is that you won't have to manage what you might have done manually previously: payment details.

Still learning Eric. I think my members would not like to have to pay to enter each group. Also, since this NING has been around two years, they will be surprised if they are in a group already and then suddenly required to pay.

 

My administrators are asking if we can change the leaders of groups all to administrators or creators, especially if people will be leaving the network when it changes to fee-based.
