I am in the process of migrating my main website to Wordpress and I am looking for a way to integrate my Ning Network into my wordpress site.
On a search I came across some really old posts about a publishing plugin (which doesnt provide enough functionality for me) and there was even one about Ning ID Single sign on, but all of the links are no longer working.
I need some integration for this or I am afraid I may have to leave Ning to do a buddypress or wpsymposium installation. I would really prefer to keep Ning if I can get it integrated into Wordpress.
I have a couple of forums outside of my main website, and my main goal is to have my full community under a single sign on. Right now my website visitors are having to sign into 3 or 4 different places to participate in my community.
Is there anyone that has done this that can show me some examples of your site or tell me how you did it?
Or does anyone have any ideas that might help me. I really dont want to leave Ning and have to deal with the exporting of members and content, plus I am really loving the direction Ning is going these days!
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Permalink Reply by Armani Rouse on June 20, 2012 at 1:51pm maybe im the only NC here who actually utilizes the Ning Apps? Theres totally a Wordpress App in the Ning Apps section in your dashboard unless of course your trying to do something totally different but one of my members took one of her wordpress blogs and posted it on my site and thats when I got to thinking, wordpress would be awesome for the site! I went to Ning Apps and there it was! You sign in using your current wordpress info and your blogs will display on your ning network.

Permalink Reply by Armani Rouse on June 20, 2012 at 3:39pm it will also show up on your home page unless you go into your dashboard and click on "feature layout" and remove it from the home page so it doesnt slow down the network for any of your users, but when you add the app wordpress it becomes apart of your ning network so click on the wordpress from the navigation bar and it'll take you to the app itself its its own page and all, i added a few ning apps their pretty awesome but lemme know how that works for you!

Permalink Reply by Eric Suesz on June 21, 2012 at 9:46am Just FYI: The Wordpress plug-in is different than a Ning App.

Permalink Reply by Armani Rouse on June 25, 2012 at 1:12pm now that you added it, go to it! when you go to it it gives you the option to sign up for wordpress if you dont already have it and so on but it definitely works
