Invited member issue

I notice that within dashboard - members - moderation - invited that my network logo appears next to an invited person even though they do not appear as a member. Does this mean that they are a member but choose to be absolutely private?

 I have no idea, i originally thought maybe it was the profile pic of the member who invited them, however, looking at mine, the first several are my members, some have been here since DAY ONE. what is up with that? wasnt like this as recent as 2 weeks ago? matter fact, looking a little harder, WHY IS IT SAYING I JUST INVITED ALL OF THESE PEOPLE ON MARCH 23, 2011???????? Is this what spammers are getting into to post on member pages and/or email all of our members?  

 This is quite unsettling to say the least. Anyone who has had a spammer recently should go look into this ASAP. I am the only person who has access to the dashboard, I recently demoted all of my admins to chat mods only....

Steven - did you ever get to the bottom of this issue?

 

I have a theory that it is when a invitee starts to sign up but does not complete the process, either because of too many hoops to jumps through or maybe because (as on my network) you made the requirement to upload a photo 'Required'?

 

Can anyone else help??

Hi Dave, I seem to remember reading another discussion where it came out that this happens when that member/invitee is already a member of other Ning power networks.
