Has anyone comes across any apps that allows members of a network to record audio and/or video directly into their Ning profile or, better yet, a forum or group discussion? My thinking is that this would encourage member engagement if they did not have to "type" to participate in discussions.
I understand that you can record audio and video and upload or embed them into Ning. I am talking about an app that allows you to record directly into the Ning community.
I would be grateful for all comments and suggestions.

It's called Vocaroo Voice Recorder
You can see how it works on my network here.
Good luck.

Permalink Reply by Steve Saenz on August 26, 2012 at 8:00pm Thanks Denis, I went to the Vocaroo site but it looks like you have to record and them get the embed code from their site. Is that what you are doing?
I don't that it is possible to record directly into a third-party site.
Permalink Reply by Denis on August 27, 2012 at 6:23am No. There is a a way to grab their code and embed on your Ning network. That's what I did. I just grabbed their code and embedded it on a new page I created on my network. And yes I do record directly from my network. Just take a closer look at their website.

Permalink Reply by Denis on August 22, 2012 at 4:53pm I am sorry guys. We are set to private now because we are doing a campaign to get a few new student members join us. Our network has a rich download center and in the past we left it open and most potential new members just stopped by grabbed the download files and left without ever signing up. That was not very pleasing to our staff who worked so hard to put those files there.
Here is a solution, just visit the Vocaroo Website directly without passing through our network. They have two kinds of embeds. One that allows you to share the recording and another that doesn't. You can test the two and choose which one you like.
My students play with it a lot on my network by sending short recordings to their friends.
