Is my site to brightly colored?

Does my site look the way it is?  Or should I add a different color to the background?  Just looking for some design ideas from a professional here.

I don't think it is at all, Casey.  You want the art to be what the visitor/member notices the most, so a plain, muted background is probably the best for your kind of site.  You have a lot of white space over there beside your header logo.  There is some code floating around here somewhere (I think Jen wrote it) that will let you put your member module in the header.  That would be a great way to put your best members right in the spotlight.  Feature them and then name the module "Hot Artists" or something cool like that. LOL 

But as to the colors, they're fine, in my opinion.

I would make the module colour a brighter orange. Pick a colour from your logo I would.

Looks Great!

The rather plain background just helps the ART stand out that much more.

One quick suggestion? Work VERY hard to make the thumbnails as Crisp and Clear and Color Correct as possible.
