Hey NC's

I've been trying to figure out a way to measure engagement via the latest activity rss feed. I've been playing with google reader with some success but find either my knowledge or the functionality lacking. What I do it star the activity I'm most interested in then manual add it up. The process stinks.

I'd like an automated process that sums up certain phrases that appears in the feed in given time periods and also give me totals.

So far example:

I'd like to see how many blog posts were added in the last seven days, and if I wanted by member, a, b, and c.

I'd also like to see how many members left comments over the last month or replied to a forum discussion or group discussion.

Any rss ninjas out there or someone else with a good idea?

Thanks.

You should be able to gauge all of your network's activity by a combination of your dashboard and analytics. No?
For this particular application, google analytics cannot be used. Long story....
Thanks for the suggestions though.
You're welcome. Actually, I posted the link to Clicky, not Google Analytics as the former's statistics are more thorough than Google. I only just signed up for Clicky as I have been using GA for a long time.

Best of luck to you either way, Joseph.
I jsut set up the account, haven't explored it as yet. Most nc's I've spoken to here have abandoned GA for Clicky. Word is it provides far better stats than GA. Should have a look in the morning.
Glad you like, Marshall. I still haven't given it a good look. I'm sure I'll get around to it this week.
