I want to embed a Member Profile from LinkedIN into a profile page's Text Box. Using the HTML option, I embedded the Javascript outputted by LinkedIN. See this tool to create such a widget:
https://developer.linkedin.com/plugins/member-profile-plugin
The javascript for embed:
<script src="http://platform.linkedin.com/in.js" type="text/javascript"></script><script type="IN/MemberProfile" data-id="http://www.linkedin.com/in/myprofile" data-format="inline"></script
(I left out my correct profile link and the last > so the code wouldn't load here)
Ning allows me to save the text box changes, but immediately deletes this code and the widget doesn't display.
I put the code in a DIV and it still deletes it.
Is there something particularly funky about this code from LinkedIN? Or did embedding code in a text box stop working?

Are you trying to do it as the NC or an Admin? It works for me when I try on a test network. Regular members can't embed javascript in their page though as a security precaution.

Linkedin's widgets/plugins are ALL javascript-based, which means unusable by members of my network.
I can't believe how little integration there is between Ning and Linkedin. Signing in with a Linkedin account would make so much sense, as would add-ons that use the Linkedin API to pull data etc.

+1. even though I despise LinkedIn with a passion
