Sorry if I missed the answer to this somewhere along the way.

I had previously installed the simple jQuery slider originally described here. It worked perfectly for the longest time, and at some point it stopped working. (Not even sure when, it displays the first banner okay and stalls, so I didn't really notice at first.)

I'm no jQuery guru, so to try and fix it I simply re-copied the original code provided in the instructions, and added back the links as I did the first time. No luck.

I've read about other jQuery problems, focused on Chrome, but I see the same problem with Firefox too.

When I reopen the HTML to look at the code, I see this added to the code in several spots.

<![CDATA[

// ]]>

I've attached the complete code, as I wrote it (or modified it, really) as well as what it looks like after I save it into the text box.

Any thoughts, or recommendation for another really simple slider I can use?

Mike

Hi Michael,

Looking at your sample files, the added code (CDATA tag) is not an issue here. You may need to place the HTML code first of the slider before the javascript part to work. Also there's a problem with the self executing $(function(){});, so no need to include this part.

I have attached a corrected version that should work. hope this helps.
