Looks like the line spacing in paragraphs has reduced in all Ning sites, including this Creators site (see the "Best of the week" blurb on the right: the text looks more condensed than before). I am seeing this in all my Ning sites. Has anyone else noticed and raised this issue? What is happening?

Yes, a lot of people are seeing this, me included. It happened when they released their fixes to the new activity feed yesterday.

YES! Thank you for reporting this. It's really horrible looking. On one Client site, it's made a huge impact.

Ning, could you please let us now if we need to put in a Support Call or Ticket?

Thanks in advance,

Jen

Hi all, we made some changes to make the line spacing consistent everywhere. Here's the code if you'd like to tweak it in your Advanced CSS:

body, .xg_reset .xg_module_body { line-height: 1.3; }

Note that it's a little tight at the moment, and we're bumping it up to 1.3 from 1.2 (where it is right now)

Thanks!
N

Gosh Nick,

I sincerely take huge issue with this, or hopefully I'm not understanding what you're saying. We design sites with the other spacing. Then you change something this serious out of the blue?  It's not like we can go back to 100s of Clients and say "Oh btw, I need to change something." It has really made a big and ugly impact on a lot of sites.

Best Regards,

Jen

oops, left 2 comments, thought the last didn't take. Something must be a little glitchy on comments today too. I've seen several double posts.

Using this code, the line spacing got fixed in the modules on the home page and other places, but the line spacing on the Members page still doesn't change. See this page for example. How do I fix that?

I had to add code for module headers too.

Come on Ning. You have to know, this isn't good.

Best,

Jen

I agree with Jens and JP. Ning should take care while making such a big-impact change that affects scores of Ning sites. I have to now fix all my Ning sites, which is not a pleasant task, and the site owners are already unhappy about the messy look it has caused... Nick, do you mind telling us why this change was necessary?
