Links to Ning from Facebook blocked?

Is there a problem with Ning and Facebook? A member alerted me that links to my network from my Facebook page were being blocked with the following message:

I checked another Ning network I know that runs a Facebook page and they seem to have the same issue.

I don't think our search is low, our facebook is just really high

we post quality content to our fan page manually, we tried to use 3rd party tools in the past like RSS Graffiti but it sucked.

We have disabled Facebook Integration

Everything seems to be working with Facebook, again. I'll wait for launch until next monday, after the big dog surf event in San Diego.

I was finally able to get the Facebook integration to work (although this wasn't where the issue stemmed from, as I was only sharing a url in messages) I had to switch to Safari. I was getting SSL error after error when trying to create new app using Chrome. Weird. A friend suggested the switch, and sure enough...

Now, if only we could get to the bottom of the no thumbnail/preview issue. Ai. Yi. Yi.

You have to create a new URL and map the CNAME in the DNS server to the ning network IP 208.82.16.68.

Then go into domain mapping on your Ning site under "my network" tab, and enter the new url name and make it the default.

You need the Ning Plus to have one unique url mapped to it or Ning Pro to map 3 urls to it.

This will allow your new url to show page views linked to it (vs shown on the base .ning.com name).  It will also allow you to share on facebook without getting the 'spam' message.

Is this in response to my comment about thumbnail/previews when throwing up a link to my Ning site on Facebook? 

Good lord. That's asking a lot just to post a link telling people the site has launched.

I think overall it has not unfortunately. A fellow NC contacted the alleged source of this issue; McAfee, in order to report the blacklisting of NING IP adress as a "false positive".. See how that went here in the current discussion:
