Is there a problem with Ning and Facebook? A member alerted me that links to my network from my Facebook page were being blocked with the following message:
SorryI checked another Ning network I know that runs a Facebook page and they seem to have the same issue.

(By coincidence, just yesterday they asked me authorization for automatic renewal of my 3-User McAfee Total Protection license... lol... should I pay?)
Permalink Reply by Pam Suggs on June 16, 2012 at 5:45am They said if it is green that is one thing but could you verify your ning site? Ning told me this yesterday:
Hi Pam, Thanks for calling us today. We have discovered that the program McAfee Security Center has added a measure to block Ning's IP address. To take your network off the blocked list, open McAfee Security Center and head to Firewall -> Net Guard. Once the IP address (208.82.16.68) has been removed from the blocked list, you should regain access to the network. (Any of your members experiencing this same issue would need to follow these same instructions to again access unitedtruthseekers.ning.com.) We hope this helps! We are currently working with McAfee to resolve this issue and will follow up with you via email once it has been. Please let us know if you have any further questions, and thank you for using Ning! Thanks, Joanna
I called Ning today & this is the e mail they sent me.
My site is green but ning said they are on a Block list with McAfee & trying to get off their Block list & will e mail when they can do so. You should call ning! Ning # 855-233-6436

They said they would e mail when this is fixed with both companys.
Permalink Reply by Franco Mercalli on June 16, 2012 at 6:21am Pam, unitil yesterday McAfee web reputation was in fact red (high risk).
Since this morning (Central European Time) it is green and everything seems to be OK (at least from my place).
For instance, I just tried to reach your network http://unitedtruthseekers.com/ and I could access it without McAfee blocking me.
Permalink Reply by Eric Suesz on June 16, 2012 at 6:27pm Hey, everyone. I heard from my colleague here at Ning who has been working with McAfee. I think that this issue should finally be cleared up. I know this has been a very frustrating issue. Since it falls beyond the Ning platform and is therefore out of our control on some level, we have shared in your frustration. However, I am told that this should be cleared up now. Of course, let us know if you still see this issue. I suppose it's possible that content or feeds used in conjunction with a Facebook Page could result in similar error messages in the future, but I sure hope not.
Eric, can you guys also now help with how to get our ning sites delisted from email blacklists...I have no idea what these delist instructions are about :-(
(Posted here since it's regarding the same IP, but perhaps I should create a new thread/go to support since this FB issue has been solved?)

My original post within this thread
Today I sent out a broadcast email to 16k members, as I try move email delivery away from Ning by using a brand new list with AWeber, but their ISPs are rejecting my mail.
I thought any 'problems' would not follow me since email was going via AWeber, but the people who cannot sign up via my ning broadcast have no trouble signing up to the same list via Facebook, but I don't want to send everyone through FB :-(
