Is there a problem with Ning and Facebook? A member alerted me that links to my network from my Facebook page were being blocked with the following message:
SorryI checked another Ning network I know that runs a Facebook page and they seem to have the same issue.

Permalink Reply by Patrick Chappelle on June 11, 2012 at 11:19am Same here! Let's hope it stays that way. It was working for me for one day last week then went back to being blocked. Hopefully this is a permanent solution.

THANKS for your support and quick response

However, the link does not create a preview of any kind in a message, it just posts the URL. Prior to this situation, a preview of the page being linked was provided.
Thanks for staying on top of this, Eric!

Permalink Reply by Patrick Chappelle on June 11, 2012 at 11:38am Actually, Facebook has been notorious for not providing thumbnails for content every now and then. You may not have been affected before, but I know plenty (including myself) who have. I once went almost two months without thumbnails last year.
Permalink Reply by BARKPARK CREATOR on June 11, 2012 at 12:05pm That truly stinks. Whenever I've had that experience, a simple refresh works and preview is restored. Oh, well...
At least we're all safe from malware and phishing warnings.
Great work NING/Eric on getting this resolved.
NEXT!
(I started a thread about member stores, in the event any of you groovy people have something to say on the topic...)
I think it was a NING issue and not a FACEBOOK issue
Permalink Reply by Debby de Wilde on June 12, 2012 at 2:32am Why would you think that, Ambroise?

Permalink Reply by Patrick Chappelle on June 12, 2012 at 10:36am It was most definitely a Facebook issue, though Ning networks were almost certainly the exclusive targets of whatever was going on.
I agree. The phishing/malware alert is resolved but we do have a preview issue

I'm waiting for full solution before I change my setting on http://mynetwork.ning.com/main/sharelinks/edit
For your information, with this setting, I have no preview issue

no issue: http://www.diigo.com/item/image/14dpl/8j12
