I had assumed that if I managed to get the list separated by commas in a text file then I could just paste it in and it would be fine, but no, despite what we're told ("Seperate each choice with a comma), using this method simply results in one long option with commas in it. Go figure!
Anyone found a work around to this?

Make sure there are no spaces between the comma and the answers. It should look like this "answer,answer2,answer3"
Once copied into the multiple choice field it will show one long answer. Click save and it will split all instances that are seperated by commas into multiple answers.
