looking for honest opinions

Had a ning site in the past, ended up losing interest and closing the site. Decided to take another try at it.

Before I setup the domain and launch the site id like to get some honest opinions on the design. Do note that the current background will be replaced with a simplified version. although you may not see it, there is actually a player in the background behind the content.

Obviously I don't have any content yet so there are some holes to be filled so use your imagination ;)

I like it! Simple, clean and neat but I agree with Josh, you can change the background image maybe even find an empty hockey rink and use that! Just a suggestion but overall its clean and easy to navigate and understand, great job!
