Hello,
Just wondering if anyone else is also having the same issue as me. The Latest Activity Module is placed in the center column of my website and with the new changes that have been implemented, the thumbnails consisting of member profile images have now shifted into the 1st column (left most).
My website URL: www.mumgum.com
Can someone please help ASAP to resolve this.
Thanks.... Arjun

Permalink Reply by AC on June 23, 2011 at 5:28am I was able to fix my issue by commenting out the following from my css code:
.xg_widget_main_index_index .xg_module_activity .feed-story {background: url(http://mumgum.net/icons/dottedsmall.png) repeat-x !important; padding-top: 10px !important;}
So the issue seems to be fixed for now......however in the future its probably best practice that you allow ning plus and pro subscribers to test any feature modifications on their test network first......this would drastically reduce impact to live sites as there would be ample time to troubleshoot any issues that arise.
Your thoughts??
Thx..... Arjun

Permalink Reply by Eric Suesz on June 24, 2011 at 11:18am This fixed mine:
.feed-story {
margin-left: 0;
padding-left: 58px;
}
BTW, i'm still using the old theme not design studio. Don't know if works with the new themes.
Permalink Reply by Kyla Fairchild on June 22, 2011 at 11:18pm The old activity feed was perfect for us. The new one excerpts too much text from each comment and the type is too large. Is there a way to select to have it how is was before without the actual comments showing up in the feed? It now takes up way too much space on the home page.
The type is also too large on the headings in the activity feed. Is there a way to make them all small the way they were before?
On a separate note, we ended up with another problem with the way photos in featured blogs display on the home page at the same time the new activity feed showed up. Now the photos are showing up larger (too large) when featured, and the text won't wrap around the photos in the blog roll or when featured on the home page. The text extends out of the right hand corner of the photo. What caused this to change and how do we get it back to how it was before?
In this screen shot below the text would have been in the space to the right of the photo before whatever you did today changed it.
Permalink Reply by Franco Mercalli on June 23, 2011 at 1:34am I agree Kyla. It's ugly. Entries on new posts have up to 8 lines of text included + 5 further lines of info (heading, time, etc). That's 13 lines! Way too much. Replies appear to have four lines - less of an issue but still too much.
Also headings are different sizes for new posts and replies - yeuck!
So here's a clip of our LA feed ths AM:
Some entries appear to have a slightly squashed or different font. I don't have Chrome, but apparently our site now looks horrible on Chrome. I'm waiting for a screenshot. I'm sorry Ning, but you do give the impression that you let your developer boys tinker around and get the thing into the showroom without ever having taken it out of the garage beforehand.
Permalink Reply by Nick Barr on June 23, 2011 at 10:17am Hi Hugh, sorry you're seeing issues here. Are you using Chrome on a Windows machine? I'm trying to reproduce the issue but haven't been able to so far.
We'll keep trying but in the meantime your best bet is to open a ticket so our Advocacy team can investigate further. Thanks for your patience!
Nick
