This website called : EarnMojo helps ning creators make badges for their members to unlock. There is different ways of setting how your members can unlock badges. Sign up (Facebook required) and start making your own badges!

The problem with a lot of these features is Facebook login. Hard to believe, I know, but there are people who do not use facebook. It would be nice to see many of these features implemented right into Ning with a 3rd party signup. It becomes confusing to the user and eventually they just leave because it doesn't make sense to them. Just my 2 cents

Not everyone uses Facebook, but most people do. You're talking about a billion users. Every member on my site has a profile on Facebook, and they all spend more time there than at my site (which I'm about to fix). So apps like these do help attract and keep members.

PunchTab is actually better, since it gives members something for their participation, rather than just a badge.

I removed Punchtab. I was saving for a reward and then they changed them. Made me mad....
So far, no one has fussed about it being gone, which makes me wonder if anyone even cared.

disappointing- I like the concept but I prefer that it be integrated with my site in some way. The fact that members have to basically leave FEMSocial to look at and collect their badges is disappointing. I would prefer that the badges show up on their page or at least that there be a way to indicate to other members the badges collected. I don't know about you, but collecting badges just for myself isn't that exciting.
And like I said, I don't like members having to move off of the site and EarnMojo has no way to customize to make it look like my site.
