I wanted to start a wish list just for the blog section. Put down some of the things that would make that section more robust, able to compete with or be on par with Wordpress or Typepad.

1. LinkWithin - Can you make it so that we could have photos of related posts within each individual post? See LinkWithin - http://www.linkwithin.com/learn.
I think this would increase our pageviews as more people would be apt to click on photos of related posts.

2. Thumbs Up - Something simple that showed visitors that people read and appreciated posts.

3. Search section just for blogs

Please feel free to add to my list!

Sort the "Blog Topics by Tags" section alphabetically.
Get rid of the "Latest Blog Posts" section. The latest blog posts are listed in the "All Blog Posts" section.
Add a "Blog Topics by Tags" section to this page.
(don't know what Ning calls this page, List Page?)

Will lend itself to drilling down quickly into the content.

Hey Alice!

Great feedback. Could you clarify your third point, as there's already a blogs-only search box on the All Blog Posts page:

Sorry about #3, Evan. You're right..that one's ok.

I do want to ask, however, if the other two requests are in the works...

Also, any more plans for an outside Stumble or Digg button like you have Facebook and Twitter?
Alice,

No plans for top-level digg/stumble upon buttons yet, aside from what's in the Share button:

We can definitely revisit this later though.

Also, are there any plans to give blog editing control to Ning Creators? It would be nice to be able to fix spelling errors and such...
can't quite remember where the particular post is that contains the answer to your question, but i believe the answer is "yes".

wait! i found it here. you have to scroll through other items to find it, but it is there.
Hey Alice!

Yup, that's in the works. As we've mentioned, it's a very thorny issue, so we have to tread slowly. But it's something we're actively working on.

Great, thanks, Evan! I really think this would help make the blogs more professional - a lot of the times it's just a simple spelling error that makes us delete a user's post..if they don't agree to change it...having control of that section would make it so much better...
there are already plans to implement a "like" feature on ning, not unlike facebook's "like". i use the facebook like on my network though.
