Member Map Application.

Please can anyone proffer and alternative to member maps by io.Apps, I find their support to be nonexistent. Better still, how can i adapt Google maps to function as a member map? Thank you.

I found they completely overcharged me after I deleted their apps. Also, Ning, can you keep a closer eye on your third-party app developers to make sure they pass muster and don't overcharge NCs? Is there a a reporting system for third-party app developers who are not ethical?

I have been asking for this app for well over a year.

 

I was hoping with the new APIs this would show up pretty quickly, and that didn't happen.  It's so easy to get the IP address of the members, or just ask them to enter their address, it would be an awesome feature.

 

When Widget Labs had this thing 3 years ago (or so) it was awesome.  

 

My best advice on this feature?  Give up.  Yes, seriously.  Come up with a different feature to focus on, otherwise you will be wasting time.

I paid the $30 to upgrade my map and it still showed my old Ning address so I emailed them and got a response within an hour or so.  I think their app works great.

 

The free version does not let an Admin remove anybody from the map so I upgraded.

Their response to my emails have always been in a timely manner I just hope we see some updates to their apps sooner than later

I use MapaList and I love it

 

1. Export your Ning member list

2. Upload to Google Spreadsheet

3. Connect your spreadsheet with MapaList

4. Costumize your map

5. Embed it to your site

You can't add profile images.

But you can add list of your members and when click on it. It will takes you to the members address

Is there a way to auto-update the member list when new members join the site?  How do you keep the map in sync with profiles?
