I tried to follow earlier threads about password problems and it makes no sense to me.

My potential member tried to sign up and no password was acceptable.  Then I tried with my own secondary email account and couldn't sign up either. How do I get this person in? If they can't get in they don't have a password to reset. That's the problem, no password they try works.

Please help!

Go to your sign in page, click the "forgot password" link, type in this person's email address and they should receive a password reset email.

If that doesn't work, can you be more specific? What is the error message given?
I'll try that, hope it works. Does that mean if the person is a member of another Ning community they won't be able to get into that one once they change their password?
They will have to use the new password on that other network as well, but they should be able to sign in.
You may get some understanding of what's going on here.
Thanks, I read that...still a little unclear about when they'll have it worked out.
They mention six weeks to both resolve our log in issues and to implement open-ID sign in/sign up. If you want to split that down the middle, that's three weeks for each. Doesn't mean it'll be that way, but you can clearly see what kind of time frame we're talking about here, Clay.
