Mobile Uploads

I've received complaints and such about the mobile picture uploads not working. I tried it myself, and it's true. I have the e;mail address right, but when I send a picture to said e;mail address, it doesn't show up on the network! What's up with that?

Do you use your own domain? That could be the source of the issue. If you're using a custom domain and the MX records are pointing to your registrar instead of Ning, you won't be able to use the mobile uploads feature.

this is a bad thing then. We are paying you to BRAND our network sites. We want to use this feature very badly. This is a key to the social n ature of sharing on the network. How can we engage with mobile uploads automatically on a branded site? We want this.

Hey Agdil,

As I mentioned up above, this is already possible. You can use mobile uploads on any Ning Network, whether you have a custom domain or not. The only problem is that if you need to choose between receiving email at @LansdowneLiving.com or using mobile uploads on your Ning Network.

There's no way to use both at the exact same domain.

mobile uploads stopped working lately all of a sudden, and I don't have a custom domain.

Actually: the mobile uploads feature is behaving randomly. Sometimes works, sometimes it does not. When it does, the upload is posted long after it was emailed. This was not the case before. You would email it and it would be posted in seconds.

Can you look into that for us Evan ?

what if i have a custom domain name and do not need to receive any email, what then?

thats the case with my network, scrollnow.ning.com / www.scrollnetwork.com we're trying to run a photo and video contest where the winner of each wins a trip for two to somewhere exotic. this is an enormously essential need.

This problem has not been resolved.

I sent a mobile upload by email à 08:38
the photo ended up being on my network at 09:04

That's almost 30 minutes later
photos used to show up in seconds on my network
