Music Tab
Over two years one of my members posted a message on my network's forum requesting that there be one central area to go to see all of the music available (uploaded/added) on member music players. As it is right now (and was back then), you have to go to each individual's page to see and hear what's on their music player, which is very tedious and time consuming, to say the least. This should be streamlined so that there is ONE place we can go, such as a tab in the menu, to have a network player or "jukebox" that could include ALL of the songs. Yes, it would have to be large and it would help if it were searchable somehow, but for a network like mine that's based around MUSIC, it would be an incredibly cool addition. I mean, we have a tab there for "Videos," why can't we have one section to go to for "Music"?
I thought that back then this was indeed on Ning's back-burner as something they were going to add in the future, but it never happened, which sucks.
What do you guys think? Is this doable?

Good idea, and one that I will pass along to our product team. We've had a number of "jukebox" like improvements requested over time. We don't currently have any big Music Player improvements planned, but I can see how this would be very useful if your network is one that is focused on music.

I agree that it is very good idea. Besides the members could see who post every song and so motivated to meet other members with the same interests.

Great idea. If it can't display songs in one single list it could just display the music players of each member with their songs. Really cool idea.

Nah, the songs will have to be in one player. With over 6,000 members on my network, there are hundreds, maybe even thousands, of my members with players. It would be too difficult to display all of those players. The best thing to do would be to pull all the music together into one player, but not have it be limited to the most recent or most popular or whatever. List it ALL.
