My network has made mention and been plugged on the Anderson Cooper Talk show. It has also been mentioned on ABC Primetime, and their website as well. My Family and I appeared on the Show, so that is how they found us, through contacting me on my NING network, PINKessence.
Take a look!

I run a support network for Transgender people called PINKessence.com - I dare say it is one of the largest on NING of its kind. And while it is not as large as LINKIN Parks or 50 Cents, the number of people on it, is not important (5500+). What has been important to me, is the uniqueness of our site's audience.
After my network appeared on Network TV, I offered and accepted a job to work with a plastic surgeon in Philadelphia who specializes in surgery for Transgender people. I was able to leave my old job I hates, and purse my dream. I also built the surgeons new website using NING.
The membership and resources of my Network, PINKessence, has helped avert 7 documented suicides, with the help of local police from all over the country, and one in Australia too. We have helped 1000's of people struggling with depression related to discrimination, abuse, job loss and divorce. We have helped dosens who were sex workers escape the streets, and get help, along with dosens of others who were left homeless after they came out as Transgender. We have been able to sponsor organizations that help families with Transgender children with revenues created from advertising on our network, which pulls in thousands of $$, because of the type of audience we have.
Our site as of right now remains a FREE site to our members... no pay walls here.
I am by no means an expert NING creator. I have been able to do what I did with the help of this site, and A LOT of help from Jen's Social. I have come to this site many times frustrated... but I always eventually get the help I need.
On behalf of all the people our network has helped, THANK YOU.

Very nice, congratulations!
Permalink Reply by Chloe Prince on August 14, 2012 at 1:36am I am actually developing a sequel to PINKessence, using a majority of the tips I have learned from your site. And from this, I am starting to learn to actually write some of my own simple CSS code.
Thanks for the inspiration.
