Hello Creators! Hope all is well with you all. I just wanted to come by, and show my appreciation for an amazing code. The eRewards 2 System, is truly EPIC when it comes to my network! This is my review of the eRewards 2 Script. I'll edit with the link.
The eRewards System is absolutely amazing. I was weary at first, because for $60, I was really hoping it wouldn't mess with my miles of coding for the specific look and operation of my network. I was excited though, for days, as Paypal takes quite a while to process bank transfers, so I waited for my money to become available.
Finally, the money cleared into my PayPal, and I was ready for the point system. I simply followed their instructions through purchase. At the last page, you are told you will be redirected to where you can get your code... this is unfortunately not true, at least, not for me. I had to type the link sent to me in my email manually, but really, this is no reason why not to buy this system, it was a simple problem with a simple solution. So, I copied the appropriate code into my custom code box, and clicked save in fear. I went to the homepage, hmmm, nothing seen different, site still loads pretty quickly for me, ok... I go to my profile, and see the stats. Nice! But, what's this... Null, Null, Null... everything was the word "Null" instead of "Comments" or "blogs posted" etc. I was confused. But, I went to the dashboard that comes with eRewards, and realized the language editor was empty. I copied the fields, keeping basically what was there already. (Make sure every field is filled with what it should say.)
When it comes to installing and using this, it does take a bit of work, but realistically, what doesn't take time on our networks? We all sit here obsessively, day after day, don't we? Hopefully I'm not alone in that. :)
So, I got the point system to a point of being properly labelled, and ready to rock. I tried to copy and paste member profile pages into the "manage members" page on the erewards dashboard, that doesn't work. What actually has to happen, is all members need to log on, and do something that awards them points. Once this happens, a "profile" is created on the erewards server, and points are then "researched" by this server. I realized that it is not bug free, or flawless, but still amazing, nonetheless. Here's what I found. A member logs on, for the first time since the point system inclusion.... that member posts a comment... they will be awarded points, and their point system will be activated. However, their points will not grandfather, until such time as I reload the "manage members" section on the eRewards dashboard. This also takes a few minutes to happen, which is why I assume this is the eRewards server searching for the relevant information to tally points.
All in all, it was fairly easy to install, in comparison to some of the things I've done to my network. I would recommend you try this if you can afford it. Save up if you have to, don't second guess it, it's SOOO worth it! The members have already started coming back, photographic instructional videos have been uploaded (a first for my network!) more photos have been uploaded, and the comment interaction has exploded, due to the point system. The members are notified by a light green/blue notification bar that says they've been awarded. The gratification is definitely well recieved, as I've already been told by a few members that they ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE NETWORK NOW!!!
This was all in one day, so I'm really quite excited to see how far this will take my network! If you would like to see this system in place, and running smoothly, please visit Addictapic! Below are the links to our #1 photographer, Justin Williamson's portfolio. Note his points board, badge, and title. CLICK HERE.
This following link, will take you to the leaderboards page on Addictapic. This will show you the module that tracks point leaders. CLICK HERE
What I would like to see updated on eRewards, is the automatic and immediate finding of all members, gather grandfathered points, and activate 100% for all current members/new members automatically.
Another thing I would love to see is, the ability to designate a new page, to show full leaderboard, showing all points and badges, titles, but showing for every member. Currently, I only see a way to display a maximum of 5 top members. This should be available for every single member to be able to research their point position. They can't know unless they're in the top 5. (I've had this requested by a member)
That's about it for my review, I F'N LOVE IT!! Sorry, just wanted to emphasize my emotion there, I mean, this is truly the best $60 I've spent in a long time, outside of paying for Addictapic!
Hope you've enjoyed my review of the eRewards 2 Points Reward System.
Oh, I'm also running a contest now, 1000 point reward for inviting 5 new photographers. Hoping for awesome results from that!!
Thank you eRewards!

Yep , guest cannot see the point system.
Permalink Reply by Damien Hannah on October 17, 2012 at 3:03am This is fine really, because it wouldn't serve a whole lot of purpose trying to entice member sign up, (although it works well as verbal advertising) but having it internally makes the members more likely to want to come back, as we all like to earn things! :) GENIUS
Hi , real sorry about the null thingy , you shouldn't be seeing that , there should be a default setting for English. I will fix that.
Thanks for this awesome review , I really appreciate your feedback.
Permalink Reply by Damien Hannah on October 17, 2012 at 2:49am You're very welcome!! I was excited for a while to get your script, and now that I have, I'm thrilled! So are my members. I broke records in the history of my network today! Amazing!
So I am curious, how hard is it for you to mod this? I have a few things I'd like to add as custom tracked actions, do you plan to allow for this in the future? For now I am just awarding manual points, but the members have no record of their manual point reports.
It's amazing, and could totally be god like, in the future! :) I applaud you!
A lot of my customers requested the custom events functionality where you can set custom event like clicking on a specific button , will give user points.
I am planned to build it end of this year as I'm currently busy trying to fix issues with other languages to make eReward a truly international product.
How hard is it? Well pretty hard, I actually completed something like this last year , due to huge amount of bugs and limited time(im still a highschooler) i put a stop to it then release a mini ver , which is the manual points rewarding system.
Later this year, around May , I found the solution to all the bugs then I spent around a month or more to test it and fix more bugs. eReward 2 was released on July. Thanks to my customers wonderful feedback , I am able to fix all currently known bugs. Well , not everything is perfect , there are still minor bugs lurking around , do report them if you found one. :)
Permalink Reply by Damien Hannah on October 17, 2012 at 3:56am Well, good job so far! I will definitely report bugs if I find them. I look forward to your updates later next year.
Could you maybe consider including the ability to see a base list of all members/points, so a page can be created for members to reference their positions on the point scale? Thanks again for all of your hard work on this!
Also , about the members population in eReward yep you are correct Damien , eReward needs time to track all users , they need to at least log on or do an activity so eReward can start counting for them.
(This is due to we do not have access to a network database so i thought why not re-create the database outside of the network , which is now the eReward database).
Furthermore , you will be curious about what if a member changes their profile url , name or profile photo. Dont worry ,eReward is still able to detect them and update their info.
Permalink Reply by Damien Hannah on October 17, 2012 at 3:04am Ok, this is great information, thank you!
Permalink Reply by Damien Hannah on October 17, 2012 at 4:08am I have just found that I can name the number of members that will show, but you recommend 3-10 for site load time. Cool! I'm going to give 10 a try, was showing 5.
