Navigation bar with a hover image?

As far as I can see the design studio does not provide a way from you to create a navigation bar with a hover image.

Do you know the best way to achieve this please? 

It's for my http://UKMarketingNetwork.co.uk site.

Yup that's the kind of thing I'm after although I'd like to use a background image pretty much like this:

Sure Bernard it's http://OnTheEdgeLive.co.uk - this is a wordpress site however we'd like to emulate the nice hover effect with this image repeated in the background.
