Ning,
Please, I'm here for information, not to look at Faces. Having to scroll through Faces to find what I'm looking for? Come on! We get it by now that this is a thriving community. Please remove the Members feature altogether because it doesn't add anything to the community. And its distracting!!!
Thanks!

Permalink Reply by Eric Suesz on August 17, 2012 at 5:45pm You don't want us to spotlight our best members? I definitely think that is an important feature. We've got some awesome people here who generously give their time by offering tips for other people. If you want to visit the forum to look for discussions, I would recommend just visiting the forum and bypassing the Main Page altogether.

Permalink Reply by Shadow on August 18, 2012 at 4:34am Alot of them I see on that member list help many here alot..they deserve to be recognized for doing so..is many out there that dont have or take the time to do so..for one to insist on this being removed is rather selfish considering if you need help you can always go to any of them..and they will answer you.
Peace
Shadow

I actually use it. And not in an intentional way (I don't go looking for it), so having it there reminds me.
Also, I'm not far from being new to Creators myself so I recall the positive effect of seeing it when I first saw it. It did indicate a thriving community and that Ning could be used to create a more personal one than standard 20th-Century style forums. So I think it serves that purpose for those who are new to Creators and haven't been here as long. If Ning expects the Creators community to grow by adding new members it would make sense to keep it high-profile and visible. We all know the challenge of managing our real estate to balance the differing expectations of our different audiences!
