Hey..

My network is going all wonky in Chrome...it seems find in Explorer..

Any ideas why it would all of a sudden go all crazy?

Can one of you check my site in Chrome so I can see if it's just me?

The morning meeting at the Ning office must be over by now.
We should be hearing from them any time.

When I run pages that do not show their styling properly, through http://validator.w3.org/ I see many errors & warnings. Could these be slowing things down and/or even causing failure now that browsers are becoming less fault-tolerant?

Perhaps we should actually run the css through a validator: http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/ ???

i cant reply to this using reply link i cant see a toolbar either
i did the css scan on mine 1 ning file had alot of errors..
my css had some warnings using unknown vender codes
basicly i paid too much attention to browserr compatability
but 1 ning file had almost 700 errors mostly parse errors
ok they are on it trying to track it down and fix it but the more details of odd
behavior you post the better

its so random

Tons of Shockwave plug-in not responsive errors.

Aye it is the randomness that I find interesting but I did suspect it was a CSS incompatibility.

more then usual? shockwave flash crashes alot normaly

Yes, much more than usual.

Yes this is happening to mine as well right now!!! I thought it was some code I added but I hadn't added any code in a while so I figured to check creators. When I go to a members profile seems OK though but when I head back on over to the main page it goes all bizarre.

I didn't get a satisfactory response to my ticket, but it was answered.  The sluggishness seems to have disappeared since the weekend, so maybe they're working on it.  My Chrome went out again and clearing the cache worked to get it back but I am sick of having to do that, and even had it happen in Firefox for the first time.

Any of you who are familiar with CSS, do you have any idea of whether Nings Options and Add buttons are "hover" buttons?  Could that possibly be the problem, or a contributory factor in them disappearing?  There's just no way to run the site if you can't see them!!!

No they are not a hover button.  My Chrome is still the slowest of the browser with Ning, I tend to stick with my Safari at this point.
