New CHAT release

Does anyone have any idea when the new CHAT will be released?

was wondering the same thing yesterday. My chat has been really buggy. People (including me) disappearing from the chat who are still online, delays in chat showing up after hitting enter, more happens at times too. please let the new chat have an evil smiley too. I have one member who has been upset since this chat was implemented that there was no evil smiley, lol.

Would love to see simple 'copy and paste' functionality in the new CHAT release. Please... This will help us transcribe important chat sessions.

I think that is the one upgrade i am waiting on the most. I hope the new chat is a little like how aim's chat was. There should be a public chat room. but private chat should be just between friends. Everyone has a friend list of people to chat with. Also the notification of the chat room should have a +1flash not just sound. That would be great! =]

i wish chat can be editiable like the custom codes on our networks :P our master creator will done it very good then ning ..

but no way to edit falsh or decompile :((

I tryed alot on diffrent discussions for this. but waiting waiting waiting :P

Phil,

I'm confused. Jonathan Shambroom states on the Road Map that, "We are very (very!) excited to let you know that you’ll soon see a brand new and improved chat feature. This new chat will be a step up in just about every way, from interface to capabilities. This is one of the first features you’ll be able to try out in the next few months."

Therefore we were expecting the new chat "soon." Obviously "soon" was not the correct adverb to use.
