New Design Studio Advanced CSS Editor doesn't behave like Old Advanced CSS Editor

Hi NCs and designers,

Current I'm working on site for a client and as you know re-designing a site is all about CSS.

I have saved all the codes in notepad. There are 2 saved files ( Latest and Old) but only the difference is I have added 2 more additional codes in latest file. When I make the new code and paste it into Advanced CSS then it doesn't work. If I copy and paste the same code from my old saved file then it works fine. I checked all the codes thoroughly and the code is perfectly fine. Not only this one but there are several codes like this don't work in New Design Studio Advanced CSS.

So frustration...I'm taking too long time to re-design a site...

IS there anyone in the same boat?

The newer Design Studio is based on LESS CSS, so I suppose there might be a few differences. You checked out all the documentation already, yes?

Hi Eric thanks for the response.

I already checked out the documentation. My basic problem is why I can't work properly with Design Studio. Sometime It (CSS Code) works like a charm and sometime it (the same code) doesn't work. In my opinion it's just because of heavy custom job one code is conflicting with other code. I wanted to know this issue and  obviously  permanent solution  from other NCs also... that's why I came up with this topic.

Okay, understood. It could be that you have conflicting CSS in there. Most likely. Wish I could help troubleshoot this one for you.

Sometimes two eyes are better than one. If you would like to share both CSS files, I will take a look and see if you have any duplication's or errors.

You are right Anthony, however, the same file is working fine with another network,,,that means it doesn't have any error..

BTW, thanks for the reply

I understand.

There could be an issue with the original theme you have chosen to modify. Is it possible that the other network where it works is using a different theme than the other where it does not work? Are they both using the new design studio and the same theme?

Does this mean that if l use a design theme, the creator has to use the same design theme for me to have my theme working on all the sites

No...we are talking about error with CSS in Design Studio.

I did try to do a theme in design studio and the theme l choice did not work on anther design studio site.
