If you don't have Google Analytics or have not looked for a few days they have just introduced real time view.

In one word, it's awesome.

You can now see how many people are on your site at this moment, the changes when you tweet or Facebook something or change your page. It shows what google searches are bringing you traffic, that is very eye opening, and the current referring sites.

Basically if you don't have it you are not doing yourself any favors.

How do you use Analytics to better your site? For example if I see a common search term I find those references and bold tem in the original posts.

Your network has to be FULLY public to use Analytics.

Mine is just main page only.  :(

My network is fully public. There are 7 people online.  Google analytic show only 2 people. I have a doubt.

7 ppl logged in dont mean they are browsing they can leave the opage open 24 hours a day and be logged in anylitics measures whos actively browsing only

where do you see real time, is it something you have to click on? mine has a little different look but is basically the same thing as it has been for a couple years.....i must be missing something lol.

i don't see it either...

its not in full release they release the beta to a few at a time mine just got active today

It's on the HOME tab

Hi John,

Yahoo! At least I found it! But it says no data available! Do you think I have to make the new design my default for this feature to function correctly??

Thanks...

Toodles..Suzie

I don't know Suzie.  That's over my pay-grade.

LOL!!!

no data no current ppl browsing

thx John.....

gotta say though, it's AWFULLY inaccurate. There are currently 13 people in my chat and the live analytics says there are TWO people on the site lol
