Network Creators are generally a friendly bunch, but in the past they’ve been limited in the number of outstanding, pending friend requests they can have at one time. Traditionally, that limit has been set at 100 pending friend requests.
Extra-friendly Network Creators who have wanted to invite more people on their networks to be their friend have had to periodically — manually — clear out these pending requests. To make this process more convenient and to encourage Network Creators to be extra-friendly, we’ve increased this limit from 100 pending friend requests to an unlimited number of friend requests. We’re extending this to Admins and member moderators as well.
This is a simple change that should continue to limit spammy activity, while simultaneously getting out of the way of Network Creators and Admins who want to increase their own bonds with their members.

Eric is saying we're considering a feature that would let a Network Creator automatically become friends with anyone who joins their OWN network. And it would most definitely be opt-in if we did it.

Permalink Reply by Alejandra Casanova on August 3, 2011 at 10:48am Thanks Eric,
I think that some tools are very handy just for the creator and/of admins.
Permalink Reply by Arianrhod Wolfchild on August 6, 2011 at 7:16am I think this is a great idea. You might want to make that something the NCs can activate or disable though, as some may not want it. I'd love it, but I'm sure some wouldn't. :)
Permalink Reply by solo on August 3, 2011 at 10:54am Automatically friends..oh this is getting better..maybe i can surpass mark over their on facebook, lol,,no actually this would also be a great way to catch spammers..if a spammer has ever been to a Ning Network they know that all you have to do is scroll down to the bottom of page and find out who is creator of this network..so they wont friend you.so when they mass email to all their friends.your not on the list..but now doing it this way automatically adding a friend we might just get some of that mail to see if they are actually a spammer.. were just tightening our doors a bit..Big thanks
