We've been working hard on a brand-new version of your Ning Network's mobile interface. We're happy to say that we're now at a point where we are ready to put this in the Ning Labs section of your dashboard. You can turn it on and off if you want to try it out from there.
We still have some more work to do on this, and we'll keep posting in the Ning Beta Group as we make regular updates.

Join us in the Ning Beta Group, where we will do our best to answer any questions you may have about the new mobile interface.
What's this all about?
If this is the first you've heard of this mobile improvement project, check out this discussion for a bit of the back story. It also covers a few FAQs that people have asked us over time.

On safari or google (on iphone)

Permalink Reply by soaringeagle on June 10, 2012 at 4:28pm do u hasve a sitemap u do realize its a new url structure so unless your sites aleready ranking very wekll it can take up to 3 weeks to index new pages
if your sites rankimg well and you have your sitemap updated often and you have the google crawler set to a faster speed then you might get it indexed in a day
is it really not listing or just not listing in the top 100 where u can find it

Permalink Reply by soaringeagle on June 10, 2012 at 4:32pm ok its not indexed heres a lil tip to get it indexed faster in a text box put a period . link the period to the /m mobile page
now adda font-color to change he font color rto almost exactly the background but nit exactly
example if the backgrounds #333333 set the font color of just the linked period to #333334 so its hidden but u have no penalty for same color text as background
that period with a link gives the crawler a doorway into the mobile site so it crawls it
Permalink Reply by Nicole Moulton on June 10, 2012 at 4:38pm ok, so put the text box anywhere? thank you!

Permalink Reply by soaringeagle on June 10, 2012 at 4:56pm in any textbox any blog anything anywhere all u need is a link somewhere for the bots to follow if u o]\put in in a textboc thats in the common collumn so its on every page of the site your going to get the url added to the crawl list right away..but do u have a sitemap thats up to daye (not the ning version) and in webmaster tools \do u have the crawl rate turned up as fast as u can? those 2 things will help a ton
Permalink Reply by Nicole Moulton on June 10, 2012 at 5:05pm I have the ning site map uploaded to webmaster tools....I have the crawl rate set to optimized....so how else to I upload a site map with NING...Ning said their site map was the way to go... Sorry these may sound like silly questions! and thank you
Also, my text boxes with ning do not allow color changes, I can not input html, I am trouble shooting this right now.
Permalink Reply by Nicole Moulton on June 10, 2012 at 5:19pm oh I know what you mean, the period create a different color, ok I am doing that

Permalink Reply by soaringeagle on June 10, 2012 at 4:58pm say for instance u addthe link to your profu]ile and u dont change your profu]=ile often it might take a month or more before your profiles crawled again if the crawl rates low and its not concidered important and not listed in the sitemap but if the sitemaps updated often lists the last chasnged date \and a priority abd change frequency its more likely to crawl it every week or even every day
Permalink Reply by Nicole Moulton on June 10, 2012 at 5:11pm Ok I understand, so, in google webmaster, having it set to optimized is ideal?

Permalink Reply by soaringeagle on June 10, 2012 at 5:23pm no set to custi]om and turn it all the way up its probly 6000% faster
and no nings sitemaps useless a sitemap should contain every page in your site thats not blocked by the robots.txt my sitemap has 1 million 75 thousand urls or more the ning version has 10 or less
only lists the features thats all u need a sitemap crawler and a seperate host i have posted several discussins on proper sitemaps that have doubled sites traffic in weeks
if you cant hide the link then add it to the ads below the footer area or something and make the link text check out our new mobile site link mobile site to the mobile site
