We've been working hard on a brand-new version of your Ning Network's mobile interface. We're happy to say that we're now at a point where we are ready to put this in the Ning Labs section of your dashboard. You can turn it on and off if you want to try it out from there.
We still have some more work to do on this, and we'll keep posting in the Ning Beta Group as we make regular updates.

What's this all about?
If this is the first you've heard of this mobile improvement project, check out this discussion for a bit of the back story. It also covers a few FAQs that people have asked us over time.

Thanks
I noticed the drop down menu for Ning mobile sites is not compatible with Opera Mobile. Is there a ticket out for this already?
Hi Brandon,
Thanks for letting us know!

Permalink Reply by Scott Bishop on June 1, 2012 at 11:48am This is great! A couple of questions:
1) Do you have to type a "/m" after the url every time to view the mobile function when using your mobile phone?
2) What is the recommended table widths when selecting the html page on the Mobile Dashboard of our admins section?
Hi Scott,
1) No. It will detect a mobile phone and reroute.
2) This will vary per device; on the iPhone the view is 320px across.
Permalink Reply by Scott Bishop on June 1, 2012 at 2:16pm Thanks for that. I just realized I needed to clear my cookies on my mobile for it to reroute to the "/m". Stoked!!
Permalink Reply by Vance Choo Branch on June 1, 2012 at 12:55pm Guys I click on enable for the mobile app. What do i have to do next to see it or use it? is it free for members?
Hi Vance,
You can see the mobile version by visiting your network with a touchscreen phone, or you can add /m to the end of your network's main page url.
You can manage the Mobile settings using the new Mobile link in the dashboard navigation.
Thanks,
Phil
